What we collect
Emails you send us. If you email us a report or enquiry, we receive your email address, name if provided and the content of your message. We use this solely to respond and, where you suggest an upset, to evaluate and credit it.
The report tool. The contact report builder runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is transmitted to us unless you choose to email it.
Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability. Logs are retained for no longer than 30 days.
Local storage. Your cookie preference may be stored in your browser's local storage. See our Cookie Policy.
Legal basis
We process emails on the basis of legitimate interests in responding to correspondence, and server logs on the basis of legitimate interests in operating a secure website. Non-essential storage relies on your consent.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who host the site or our email, under contracts requiring appropriate protection, or where the law requires.
Retention
Correspondence is kept for up to 24 months, then deleted unless needed for an ongoing matter.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, object to processing, or ask us to restrict it. Write to the address above. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
